New Year's Eve 2007/08
A bit of late news, but for the record: a New Year's Eve parish party was held in the Church Hall 31st Dec with live barndance provided by The Minstrels who called the dances, taught the routines and performed magic tricks as well.
The idea was to have an authentically English evening but with a multicultural aspect. Barndancing can unite people of all ages and cultures.
Some photos to give you a flavour of the evening:
So, if you didn't come this time, you'll think about coming again. All who came enjoyed it and said what a good time they had. The Parish Council has reviewed it and recommends organising another one next year. A barndance is not cheap to organise on New Year's Eve, but if the whole parish turns out, pays something to enter and has fun, it'd be worth it.

A table of Iraqi food!
Lessons before the dance.
Tim (the large chap) danced for the first time - his wife said he didn't even dance at their wedding, but he danced tonight!
